Following the life of a daddy longlegs spider who plays blues music, this book is informational about blues music, not so much about spiders. Written in prose, I imagine these verses being recited somewhere in a coffee shop. The text itself moves across the page in varying ways and includes a combination of text that is large and easier to read and text that is smaller and more difficult for students (side-by-side reading). There is a glossary of blues terms and instruments in the back of the book. I was a little disappointed, however, by the lack of a plot in the story; it dragged too much for me.
