Perfect last month around Halloween time... This is a playful rendition of the classic "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" tale, only this time the old lady swallows a bat and several other spooky, Halloween-themed items. Repetition of phrases makes this book very good for beginning readers and presents the story in a sing-songy way. Appearing to be done in ink pen and watercolor, illustrations are very silly and add thrill for children. I expect some giggles.
