Norman Fools the Tooth Fairy

Norman Fools the Tooth Fairy
By Carol Carrick
This book was one that I found in my collection of children's books at my mom's house. I remember reading it a lot when I was younger. It is too cute! In this story a young alligator named Norman has a loose tooth and really wants it to fall out so he can get a visit from the tooth fairy. He is too afraid to pull it out, so he fakes that he lost it. This book is perfect for any child who is nervous about losing a tooth. Norman has questions of his own about the tooth fairy that children can relate to. He is an example of the magic of being a kid and experiencing such firsts as losing a tooth!
Illustrations in this book are very captivating and can inspire conversations with children!
The book also contains a lesson on guilt about lying (Norman is tortured by the idea that a tooth monster comes for him that night) and a brushing and flossing guide for children. This picture book would be a great addition to a lesson on teeth.
