Steal Back the Mona Lisa

Steal Back the Mona Lisa
by Meghan McCarthy
Sooo creative and whimsical!! This book is a light-hearted account of a child spy who's mission it is to stop a couple of thieves from stealing the Mona Lisa and drawing a moustache on her. The acrylic pictures are very cute and add mood to the story. Children can have fun looking for the thieves in every picture and spotting the funny details of the illustrations.
Each turn of the page brings a new, surprising strategy from the author... loopy font, words that "move" across the page, interactive language and questions for the reader, and snappy humor. The end of the book is even a "real" newspaper telling the story of when the Mona Lisa was actually stolen from the Louvre! I am definitely adding this book to my wish list and you should too!
