Yes, this is the same author as Frindle. But this time Clements writes for children ages 4-8 and entirely in haiku! I found this book very interesting, new, creative, and wonderful. Clements has gone about creating an easy reader for children in such a different, fun way. All the touches are nice too: the beautiful illustrations (by Tim Bowers), cute puppy print end papers, and the author's note--all about the writing process and about haikus--at the end. I could definitely use this book in a lesson about poetry.
