Harry the Dirty Dog

Harry the Dirty Dog
By Gene Zion
another classic that I decided to revive from my collection. Parents can remember reading this book as a kid and be excited to read it to their own children (or at least mine can). Without complex language or tough vocabulary this book is a simple reader for students beginning their experience with books. (Could be considered a little boring.) This book has a lot of pictures and creative artwork that can draw children in and hopefully get them invested in the story; the images are detailed and can inspire conversations with children.
Harry the Dirty Dog teaches the lesson to kids that some "bad" things can actually be "good" and that moms and dads make them do the annoying tasks (such as taking baths) for their own well-being.
